Sue Lu

Sue was born in Northeast China, but she has called Edmonton her home for the majority of her adulthood. She completed her post-secondary education at the University of Toronto, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and double minors in Sociology and Linguistics. Eager to be closer to family, Sue returned to Edmonton to pursue her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Alberta.

Upon completing her legal studies, Sue articled at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, where she discovered her passion for assisting clients in resolving their family matters. Her time at ECLC exposed her to a diverse range of family law issues, including divorce, parenting, child and spousal support and property division. Sue has represented clients before the Alberta Court of Justice and Court of Kings Bench of Alberta. Since being called to the Alberta Bar in 2023, she has been expending her practice to encompass Wills and Estate Administration, Real Estate and Immigration matters.

Sue strongly believes in giving back to the community, and continues to volunteer her time with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. Sue is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and offers her services to Mandarin-speaking clients in their native language.

Sue brings a compassionate approach to her practice, she is committed to helping clients resolve their legal issues in a manner that leaves a positive impact on their lives.

When not in the office, Sue finds joy in books, movies and video gaming, as well as spending quality time with her husband and their beloved cat, Lucky.
