Sheldon graduated from Bond University Faculty of Law in 2018. Prior to attending law school, Sheldon obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History from the King’s University in Edmonton.

Sheldon has primarily practiced in Family Law, and has an interest in Criminal Law, Real Estate, Wills & Estates, and Civil Litigation. While in law school, Sheldon volunteered at the Robina Community Legal Centre, and worked as a Law Clerk with a Solicitor in the Gold Coast of Australia. At the Robina Community Legal Centre, Sheldon’s responsibilities were to help clients fill out their intake forms by asking them preliminary questions about their issues and guiding them to the right area of practice. Sheldon would help advise clients under a Lawyer’s supervision in various areas of law at the Robina Community Legal Centre.

Sheldon ran a professional landscaping company focusing in lawn care, gardening, power raking, aeration, sod laying and patio building. Sheldon’s past experience as a former business owner has given him a high understanding of customer service and adapting to his customer’s needs.

After graduating law school in Australia, Sheldon lived in Nanaimo, British Columbia, and worked on a pro-bono project regarding a tent-city project. His duties and responsibilities were to tour the site, interview tenants, and draft supporting court documents with respect to their living experience at the site. The overall intention of the project was to provide the homeless with a sense of community, and a place to live. This is one of the many examples of Sheldon’s contribution to the community.

While living in Australia, Sheldon enjoyed walking to the beach, crabbing, hiking through the Australian hinterland, and traveling across the country in his car. Sheldon loves to play guitar, bike rides in the river valley, plays hockey, and ice fishes at many different Northern Alberta lakes. Sheldon is a devoted fan of the Edmonton Oilers and deeply prides himself in the game of hockey.

Do not be surprised if you see Sheldon on the riverbanks of the North Saskatchewan river casting a line or two!
