Irvin was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. He obtained his undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Arts, Major in Legal Management from the University of Santo Tomas in 2002 and then obtained his Juris Doctor Degree in 2007. He passed the Philippine Bar Examinations in 2008 and started practicing as a lawyer since then. He is also a licensed real estate broker in the Philippines since 2012.
Throughout his career in the Philippines, Irvin has been practicing mainly in Corporate Law working as a Chief Legal Counsel for various companies. This experience exposed him to other areas of law such as employment/labour, contracts, property and real estate, taxation, civil litigation, and construction.
In 2017, he immigrated to Canada to join his wife and start a new family here. He completed his NCA accreditation and was called to the bar on June 30, 2021. During his articling, he has been trained to work in Criminal Law, Immigration Law, Family Law, Real Estate Law, Wills and Estate Law, Civil Litigation, and Contracts.
This wide array of areas of law works well with Irvin since it allows him to help the Filipino community in Alberta and in Canada who, in one way or another, need legal advice and help.
During his spare time, he likes spending it with his family. He also participates in different not-for-profit organizations mostly serving the underprivileged community and doing community development. His sports include soccer, swimming and a little bit of golf.
