Stephen Harfield

Stephen graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2010. Prior to that he attended the University of Alberta and the University of Winnipeg where he studied Math, Education, Philosophy, and Literature.

Stephen’s practice is centered around Family Law topics, but also includes Wills and Estates, Real Estate, and General Civil Litigation. While he has appeared and continues to appear before all levels of the court in Alberta, Stephen takes most enjoyment helping clients find the approach that best suits them given their own unique experiences, backgrounds, and values. Stephen is a trained Collaborative Family Lawyer which is a resolution path where everyone signs a contract not to go to court, and this has been an attractive option for many people.

Stephen also believes in giving back and volunteers his time with various committees and continuing education. Outside of the office, Stephen enjoys the outdoors, cooking, traveling and volunteering. He has a better half who is much more accomplished than he is, and two pet animals who are in charge at home.
